 There are many places in Whitby where you can park
for free - if you can find a space :
There are also "Pay
& Display" car parks on Langbourne Road - turn right at the island to go
past the Co-op and you will find a short-stay car park on the left and a
long-stay car park further on, over the next island and on the right hand side
(map reference 1).
On Church
Street, there is a "Pay & Display" car park next to The Fleece - this car
park is adjacent to the charter boat pontoon (map reference 2).
Alternatively, an arrangement has
been made with the Marina Car Park Attendant on Langbourne Road: Turn at the
island to go past the Co-op, continue over the next island and on through the
gate ahead. Turn left and park anywhere available on the Marina Car Park
(map reference 3). Place £6.00
in an envelope with your vehicle registration number clearly marked on the
outside and post the sealed envelope through the Marina Office letterbox (the
Marina Office is the blue "Portakabin" near the public
toilets).
Depending on the time of year, we will collect your party from
either the pontoon in front of The Angel on New Quay Road, which is between the
Co-op and the swing bridge, or we will collect you from the charter boat
pontoon on Church Street. You will be informed which pontoon to assemble at
when you make your booking.
If you are travelling early in the morning,
it is advisable to phone either Frank or Rich when you are nearing or have
arrived in Whitby and one of us will meet you.
