As
members of the Whitby Charter Skippers Association, we are fishing the Summer
Festival
This year's 21-day Summer Festival is without
doubt, going to be the best yet !
It is to be held from Friday
27th June to Thursday 17th July 2008.
A total prize fund of
£20,000 is available : £5,000 first prize for the biggest fish
landed over the whole festival, £2,000 for the second, £1,000 for
third and £500 for fourth. In addition, there is a £500 prize plus
a Penn Torque 200 reel for the biggest Cod landed over the whole
festival
There are daily prizes of £50, £30 and £20
for the biggest three fish caught each day, plus a Shakespeare Uglystick
rod and Penn 330 Iever drag reel for the biggest fish each
day.
Over the whole of the Festival, there will also be three tackle
prizes for the heaviest fish in categories for Cod, Ling, Haddock, "Any Other
Species" - and a Junior Section too.
Growler will be
fishing every day during the Festival (weather permitting), taking 6 anglers
daily. Boat bookings are now being taken, so please contact Frank up to the end of April -
Rich will be back from his travels around the end of
April.
